In the heart of the Aveyron, nestled in the picturesque Aubrac region, we embarked on our journey to create Twelve French whisky. A whisky distinguished by its taste, its history, its location and its production process.

In its history

It’s a story that began in 2013 during a hike through the Aubrac landscapes, reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, where two friends found themselves captivated by the surroundings and set themselves a major challenge: to produce their own whisky here, in Laguiole.

By gathering a dedicated group of fellow enthusiasts and wine merchants, we were able to create a close-knit group of connoisseurs and transform this simple idea into a concrete project that has resulted in one of the most emblematic whiskies from France, brought to life from the casks. … the benchmark of excellende for French whisky.

In its place of production: Le Presbytère des Anges

It was in Laguiole, at an altitude of 1000 metres, that we decided to establish the heart of our Twelve French whisky. The village’s former presbytery, the Presbytère des Anges, has been transformed into our brewing and distilling site.

Built over 300 years ago, this historic building offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Aubrac highlands. Its stone walls, evidence of the region’s volcanic past, gives our whisky a strong soul and distinct identity.

We’ve given the presbytery in Laguiole a new lease of life, converting it not only into a distillery, but also an ageing facility for our Twelve whiskies. It’s here, in a historic Aveyron location, that you’ll find our casks carefully stored away, patiently awaiting the passage of time to enhance our top-of-the-range, characterful whisky.

In its exclusive tasting settings

We take great pride in the whisky we make, and we’re more than happy to share it with the ever-growing community of enthusiasts, friends and customers who, like us, eagerly await our next vintage.

That’s why we’ve chosen an iconic venue for tasting of our Aubrac whisky : the former Laguiole convent, located just a few steps from the Presbytery of Les Anges. Like the presbytery, the convent is a building steeped in history, so it has naturally evolved into:

• One of Twelve Whisky’s ageing cellars.
• The final tasting destination during visits to our whisky distillery.

• In our Twelve online store: since October, you can buy our French whisky directly from our online shop and have it delivered anywhere in France.

• Wine retailers: Many wine retailers have added our Aubrac whisky to their selection.

The tour takes place in the exceptional setting of the Presbytère des Anges and the former convent in Laguiole in Aubrac. These iconic sites of the region house our brewery, our still and our cellar.
